Locally Grown Family Ran Farm Organic

Kilmalu Farm is a family-run farm in Mill Bay, BC, tucked along the coast of the Cowichan Valley. What began as a daylily farm became the Armstrongs’ vision for a sanctuary of fresh food and beautiful florals—now offering the Valley a selection of organically grown goods.

Collene and Randy, originally from Saskatchewan and Dodge Cove, a small coastal community on BC’s North Coast, bring more than 40 years of marriage and deep roots in farming, poultry, beekeeping, and gardening. Their son Emmett, a graduate of the Vancouver Island Master Gardener program, specializes in living soil and sustainable growing practices and is passionate about building the farm into a multigenerational legacy. Emmett’s partner Dani is a professional photographer and the farm’s social media and communications manager, documents life on the property and offers on-site family and maternity sessions. Together, they hope to raise a family rooted in the same love of land, community, and simple living that brought them here.

Millie and Penny, the resident corgis, provide farm humour, emotional support, quality control, and enthusiastic digging assistance!
